The Black Postdoctoral Group (BPG) is a subsidiary of the Postdoctoral Association, composed of postdocs across all disciplines at MIT. The mission of this newly formed cohort is to leverage MIT’s infrastructure to recognize and promote diverse members of the postdoctoral community, engage in professional development events in academic and industry sectors, and foster support for racial equality on campus. We envision that this community will build alliances with other focus groups on campus, serving as a foundation for enhanced communication between alum and current postdoctoral scholars.
